- Bullying involves intentional and repetitive aggressive, physical and/or psychological behavior among peers, aiming to belittle the individual who is perceived as fragile and helpless. In the present work, an attempt was made to analyze experiences and knowledge that teachers from public elementary schools in São Paulo have about bullying. Nine elementary school teachers from three public schools (one municipal and two state schools) participated in the research: three of Portuguese, three of Arts and three of Physical Education. In some cases, interviewees presented stereotypical views of bullying, and some proposed solutions to combat school violence through coercion, which does not favor peaceful coexistence [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
