Abstract

This study aims to assess and contrast the impact of two distinct orientation methods, namely fixed tilt and seasonal tilt adjustment, on the output energy generation of a solar system situated in the Al-Mahawil area of Babylon, Iraq. The exact coordinates for the location will be considered. (longitude 44.415026 ° E, latitude 32.690806 ° N, and height 18 meters). By utilizing the highest level of incoming radiation received by the solar panels and the transposition factor (TF) that increases the power generation capability of photovoltaic systems (PV) The simulation was conducted with the Perez model in the PVsyst software, with a specific emphasis on a standalone system. The optimal inclination angle for fixed tilt has been established at 29 ˚ degrees. During the seasonal tilt adjustment, the angle was set to 13 ˚ degrees in summer and 49 ˚ degrees in winter. The findings indicated that using seasonal tilt adjustment yielded superior results compared to employing a fixed tilt at this site in order to optimize the energy output of the system while keeping expenses at low levels.
