Deep learning based intelligent system for uniform identification and authentication.

Maintaining discipline and security is of immense importance in any institution, whether a school, college, or workplace. Wearing uniforms in educational institutions and workplaces creates a sense of unity and pride. It increases people's confidence, saving time, money, and energy that would otherwise be spent deciding what to wear daily. Also, recognition of authorized and unauthorized people entering an institution is significant from a security point of view. In this paper, a system has been proposed for uniform identification and authentication of people at the entrance gate of an educational institution. After the camera at the institution's entrance gate takes the picture, a deep learning-based segmentation algorithm will identify the logo on the uniform. The data will match the photograph of the person/student in the database, and attendance will also be recorded at the entrance gate. If the person is authorized, then he/she will be allowed to enter the university, else, the person/student will be fined with an amount of Rs 500.
