Abstract

Golf cart-related injuries are on the rise, with children, older adults, and individuals under the influence of alcohol or substances being particularly vulnerable. Basic safety features such as seat belts and roll cages could prevent most of these injuries. Standardizing safety features and implementing regulations similar to those for on-road vehicles could significantly reduce golf cart-related injuries. Governments, organizations, and individuals should take measures to prevent these injuries, including introducing and enforcing safety standards and regulations. Urgent attention is needed to address this public health issue. [Extracted from the article]
