Abstract

Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APML) can lead to pseudotumour cerebri (PTC), either due to direct effects of the disease or as a complication of its treatment with the vitamin A derivative all-trans-retinoic acid or arsenic. We report the case of a patient with sight-threatening papilledema secondary to APML-induced PTC who was treated with bilateral optic nerve sheath fenestration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
