Abstract

The article discusses the MoTrPAC Animal Aerobic Exercise Protocol and Biorepository, which aims to uncover systemic adaptations to aerobic exercise and extend healthspan. The study utilized a standardized aerobic exercise protocol on male and female Fisher 344 rats of different ages and collected various tissues, blood, and feces for analysis. The results showed improvements in exercise performance, with differences observed between sexes and age groups. The study provides a comprehensive understanding of the molecular benefits of aerobic exercise and offers a valuable resource for future research on multi-organ communication in response to exercise.
