Abstract

The article discusses a rare case of diaphragmatic spasms caused by a glomangioma. The patient developed scalp swelling seven months after a hair transplant, which was attributed to an infection from the hair transplantation procedure. The article recommends that patients with allogenic cranioplasty flaps, like the one in this case, should be warned about the possibility of infection spreading to the underlying implant before undergoing hair transplantation. The article also mentions the use of prophylactic antibiotics and staphylococcal decolonization regimen as preventive measures. Additionally, the article briefly mentions other studies on glomangiomas in different parts of the body. Another article in the same journal discusses a novel and simple method called no-laboratory epidermal cell paste (NLEP) for the treatment of stable vitiligo. The NLEP technique does not require specialized laboratory equipment, is less time-consuming, and more cost-effective compared to other cellular graft methods. The article provides details of three patients who underwent the NLEP procedure and achieved repigmentation with minimal adverse effects. [Extracted from the article]
