Abstract

This article provides a clinicopathological and genomic analysis of intestinal adenosquamous carcinoma, a rare form of cancer characterized by the presence of both adenocarcinoma and squamous components. The study conducted a retrospective analysis of patients with intestinal tumors and performed whole-exome sequencing on three cases of duodenal adenosquamous carcinoma. The findings revealed the relative proportions of adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma components, identified mutations in specific genes, and discussed the limitations of the study. The research contributes valuable insights into the characteristics and mutational landscape of this type of cancer, potentially informing future therapeutic development.
