Abstract
- This article presents a multicenter case series of five patients with retinal metastasis (RM) originating from lung cancer and breast cancer. The clinical presentations varied, including patchy retinal infiltrate, elevated retinal mass, and punctate retinal infiltrate. The patients also experienced complications such as rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. All patients received systemic chemotherapy and whole-brain external beam radiotherapy, but four patients died during follow-up. The article includes multimodal imaging findings and pathological findings for each case. The authors emphasize the challenges in diagnosing RM and the aggressive nature of the condition, highlighting the need for tailored treatment approaches and holistic care.
