In the light of the profound malaises that characterize our contemporaneity, restoring the social value of families and supporting parenthood in its educational and value functions constitutes one of the current responsibilities and challenges of pedagogy. By virtue of this, the present contribution will retrace according to a critical-reflective posture, the current educational policies aimed at Italian families, starting from what to define means by generativity and by the bidirectional nature of families within society, reflections that will lead towards a dialogue pedagogical anthropology, between the political and the educational dimension, in favor of the family system in its entirety.
