Abstract

This document is a review of two classical music albums. The first album features Alberto Navarra, winner of the 2022 Carl Nielsen Flute Competition, performing flute concertos by Mozart, Reinecke, and Nielsen. The reviewer criticizes Navarra's lack of rhythmic interest and tone color in his playing, as well as the recording quality. The second album is a family project, with pianists Mari Kodama, Momo Kodama, and Karin Kei Nagano performing Mozart and Poulenc concertos. The reviewer praises the pianists' synchronized playing and the conductor's clear articulation and transparent orchestral textures. [Extracted from the article]
