Abstract

This article describes three case reports of patients, including two boys and one girl, who experienced lack of efficacy or adverse reactions to various medications. The first case involved a 14-year-old boy who initially received carbamazepine for complex partial seizures but developed Stevens-Johnson syndrome. He was later diagnosed with ADHD and OCD and experienced worsened movements and agitation with atomoxetine, fluoxetine, and risperidone. The second case involved a 10-year-old boy with an obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorder who did not respond to fluoxetine and developed increased tics. The third case involved a 16-year-old girl with Tourette syndrome who experienced worsening mood disturbances and tics with risperidone and sodium valproate. Adjustments to their medications and additional therapies were made to manage their conditions. [Extracted from the article]
