Abstract

This article explores the philosophical ideas of Hedwig Conrad-Martius and Edith Stein regarding the reality of non-human entities. Conrad-Martius's philosophy challenges the subject/object dichotomy and offers new perspectives for understanding reality. Her key texts, such as "Metaphysical Conversations," "Phenomenology and Speculation," and "Transcendental and Ontological Phenomenology," explain her departure from Husserl and Heidegger's approaches. Similarly, Stein's book "Metaphysical Conversations" delves into the essence of human beings and their relationship with other beings, introducing the concept of the Quall. Both philosophers emphasize the importance of recognizing the boundaries between different beings and the responsibility of humans towards the non-human. [Extracted from the article]
