Bandwidth-Enhanced Circularly Polarized Slot Coplanar Waveguide-Fed Antenna with Embedded Meander Line.

This article presents a new design for a circularly polarized (CP) slot antenna that offers enhanced bandwidth. The antenna features a unique ground plane shape and an embedded meander line branch to introduce wideband orthogonal modes. The measured impedance bandwidth is 103.2 percent (from 2.12 to 6.64 GHz) and the axial ratio bandwidth is 72.0 percent (from 2.82 to 5.99 GHz). Compared to other CP antenna designs, this antenna offers advantages in terms of its low profile and ease of fabrication.
