Gilberto: entre a angústia por depressão e a potência para viver: reflexões gestálticas e fenomenológicas.

Case study arising from Gestalt-based psychotherapy care for a 25-year-old man, between September 2022 and June 2023, in which the initial complaint was suicidal ideation, associated, throughout the sessions, with inconsistency in relationships with women, emotional distance from the family and difficulty studying, feelings of worthlessness and family conflict as the origin of psychological suffering. We also established a dialogue with the philosophy of care, and with Van Den Berg's phenomenological psychopathology. The general objective was to communicate reflection on the complexity of Gilberto's care, with a psychiatric diagnosis of chronic depression, with suicidal ideation; and, the specific thing was to clarify the sources of neurotic adjustments. We use active listening, empathy, forming bonds; skilled frustration, through experiments based on the existential situation. Among the results, the client was assiduous, punctual, interested and available for psychotherapy. The complexity of the symptoms required psychiatric follow-up, with medication being administered. It is concluded that, although adhering to the treatment, with an increase in the psychotherapeutic bond, there is a slow awareness of the client's perception of their personal needs to live without confluences, which requires intensifying psychotherapy and raising parents' awareness of the origin of the suffering of Gilbert.
