Abstract

China and Africa are working together to modernize and improve their countries through collaborative efforts. China has been sharing its technology and knowledge with African nations, including the transfer of juncao technology, which has been successful in helping African countries develop their infrastructure and industries. The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) serves as a platform for collective consultations and cooperation between China and African countries. China has made significant investments in Africa, including building railways, roads, bridges, ports, and improving power supply and communication networks. The partnership between China and Africa is seen as a pillar of South-South cooperation and has the potential to drive renewable energy and other key transitions. China has announced a three-year action plan that includes initiatives in various fields such as trade, healthcare, agriculture, and green development. China will provide financial support and assistance to implement these initiatives. Despite accusations of creating a "debt trap," China's investment and financing cooperation with Africa has contributed to economic development and job creation. China has also been flexible in providing debt relief to African countries, unlike other creditors. The "debt trap" narrative is not taken seriously by African countries.
