Abstract

This document is a guest editorial introducing a special issue of the journal "Social Work in Public Health" focused on the health and well-being of Black men. The editorial highlights the significant health disparities faced by Black men in the United States, including higher rates of chronic illnesses and mental health concerns. It emphasizes the need for targeted and culturally responsive interventions, as well as research and education that prioritize Black men's health. The special issue covers topics such as Black fathers' role in maternal health, chronic disease prevention, mental health stigma, innovative interventions, and the importance of social work education in addressing these issues.
