Abstract
- The article discusses the politicization of Muslim minorities in Europe and its impact on academic research. It highlights the need for more nuanced and intersectional approaches to studying Muslim communities, as the category of "Muslim" is diverse and heterogeneous. The article also challenges the assumption that religion is the primary factor influencing social behavior among Muslims, emphasizing the importance of non-religious cultural factors. Additionally, it critiques the focus on conflicts over "liberal democratic values" and calls for a more comprehensive examination of the attitudes and perspectives of both Muslim and non-Muslim populations. The author argues for a rethinking of research methodologies and a de-Muslimification of academic thinking. [Extracted from the article]
