Abstract
- The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of the pure ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer (EMA) and EMA/chloroprene rubber (CR) thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) prepared by dynamic vulcanization were extensively investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The Avrami method modified by the Jeziorny, the Ozawa and the Mo methods were employed to characterize the non-isothermal crystallization process. The results indicated that the Avrami method modified by the Jeziorny and Mo methods effectively characterized the non-isothermal crystallization behavior of both pure EMA and EMA/CR TPV, while the behavior could not be described by the Ozawa modification method.
