Abstract

This article, published in the Chemistry of Natural Compounds journal, explores the chemical constituents found in the leaves of Dracontomelon duperreanum Pierre, a taxonomic genus from the Anacardiaceae family. The plant is commonly used in Chinese medicine for various purposes. The researchers collected the leaves in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, and isolated and identified ten known compounds from the species for the first time. The compounds include methyl gallate, gallic acid, ethyl gallate, vitexin, oleanolic acid, tyrosol, myristic acid, β-sitosterol, hexacosanol, and succinic acid. [Extracted from the article]
