Abstract

The article discusses the growing popularity of collaborations between virtual influencers as a visibility, exposure and engagement strategy for organizations. With the advantage of a certain control of the narrative over what they “say and do”, virtual influencers have been chosen as a way to transmit their brands’ values and key messages. However, it is always worth an ethical, critical and reflective look at the transparency of who these figures are. The basic methodology of the text is bibliographical research, but also exploratory and essayistic. The exploration exercise proposed here allowed us to construct hypotheses so that considerations could be made about the relationships between digital transformations and consumption, advantages and points of attention of collaborations between virtual and real influencers.
