Abstract

The article "Evaluation of Sexual Function of Transgender Individuals" by Roncato et al. aims to describe the sexual function of transgender individuals using validated questionnaires and a semi-structured questionnaire developed by the authors. The study found that both trans men and women reported high levels of sexual dysfunction, with trans women experiencing more dysfunction than trans men. The authors also noted a discrepancy between the results from validated questionnaires used in cisgender populations and their own questionnaire developed for the trans population. This article highlights the need for validated measures in order to provide appropriate sexual health care for trans individuals and conduct further research in this area. The authors emphasize the importance of addressing sexual dysfunction in trans patients and including them in pelvic floor research. [Extracted from the article]
