Abstract
- Paediatric non-infectious uveitis can lead to vision loss and permanent damage to the eye. It is difficult to diagnose, as it often presents asymptomatically, and can have a different aetiology compared with adult-onset non-infectious uveitis. Treatment depends on the cause of uveitis and the region of the eye affected, but generally involves corticosteroids, conventional immunosuppressive agents and biologic agents either as monotherapies or as combination therapies.
