Abstract

This article, titled "OC08.03: Placenta accreta spectrum: prediction of pathological grade by ultrasound examination," aims to investigate the ultrasound diagnostic signs of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) and their correlation with the severity of histopathological grading. The study analyzed 30 PAS cases from 2018 to 2023 and compared ultrasound signs such as myometrial thinning, loss of the clear zone, placental bulging, placental lacunaes, and uterovesical hypervascularity. The results showed that myometrial thinning and loss of the clear zone were the most significant predictors of myometrial invasion in PAS. Patients with a severe histopathological grade were at a higher risk of experiencing greater blood loss, requiring hysterectomy, and needing devascularization procedures.
