Abstract

With the rise of big data technology and the continuous optimization of deep learning algorithms, generative intelligence is reshaping various industries at an unprecedented speed, expanding the scale and possibilities of design, and showing its potential in innovative applications. This paper aims to explore the relationship between big data and generative intelligence, analyze the status quo of technology development and its application in vertical fields, and deduce the transformation of design process based on this. Using the method of combining literature research and case analysis, this paper firstly analyzes the development and application status of big data and generative intelligence technology. Secondly, Midjourney is taken as an example to summarize the fashion design mode in the era of data and intelligence for different application scenarios. Al can assist designers to quickly generate diverse design solutions, and promote the transformation of design from human-led to human- machine collaboration. Midjourney can quickly realize clothing pattern design, clothing effect drawing generation, virtual model image design and create clothing display space. Based on the double diamond design model, the four-diamond diagram of the design process in the intelligent age is proposed. The process combines the application of data-driven prediction and intelligent technology to verify the reconstruction of design thinking, the reform of design methods and the transformation of design research perspective in the intelligent age. The process integrates the cycle of data insight, intelligent generation, design verification and feedback optimization, showing the systematic upgrade path of the design process in the intelligent era. Under the integration of super-disciplines, big data provides massive information for design science to accurately grasp the design trend, and generative intelligence provides a new perspective for design science with its learning and innovation ability, extends the design boundary, and becomes a bridge connecting humanities, society, nature and other fields. For designers, from hand-drawing to computer drawing, and with the help of machine learning to accelerate creative output, Al technology has simplified the design process and greatly improved design efficiency and diversity, but it still needs to be manually screened and adjusted to ensure practicality. It is foreseeable that with the penetration of big data artificial intelligence in the field of design art, new art forms and design expressions will be produced, but the emergence of artificial intelligence and big data will not completely replace traditional design forms.
