Abstract

Bucks County Community College (BCCC) offers a Metalwork Training program in collaboration with the Bucks County Workforce Investment Board and local industrial manufacturers. The program provides education in metalworking and fabrication, teaching skills such as measurement tools, blueprint reading, safety, manual machines, CNC machining, welding, and mathematics. The curriculum is determined by a local manufacturing committee, and the program aims to address the need for skilled workers in manufacturing. Graduates of the program have a high job placement rate and may earn stackable credentials. Testimonials from students highlight the value of the program in expanding their skills and career opportunities. [Extracted from the article]
