La imprescriptibilidad en delitos sexuales en América Latina.

The imprescriptibility of sexual crimes against minors is an issue of great relevance due to the extreme vulnerability of this population. The article aims to critically analyze the quality of existing research in this area, identifying its strengths and weaknesses, and evaluating the methodology used to guide future reforms that guarantee justice for victims. Through an exhaustive bibliographic review, both the solid aspects and the methodological deficiencies of the reviewed studies are highlighted. Problem areas and future research directions are also identified to strengthen knowledge in this field. It is concluded that imprescriptibility is a powerful legal tool, justified by the Law, but that requires more robust support from other disciplines, especially in its empirical foundation.
