Abstract

A study published in Cancer Medicine analyzed data from over 5,300 patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) to examine the impact of race/ethnicity and insurance status on health outcomes. The study found that race did not independently affect overall survival in DLBCL patients. However, among patients under 65 years old, those with Medicaid insurance had worse overall survival and shorter time to second-line treatment or death compared to those with commercial insurance. The study emphasizes the importance of considering insurance status and age when evaluating health outcomes in DLBCL patients. [Extracted from the article]
