Abstract

The International Journal of Asian Christianity, Volume 7, No. 1, features a collection of articles and book reviews that explore various aspects of Christianity in Asia. Topics covered include the examination of a Christian periodical from South Asia, the migration of Telugu Catholics in Madras Presidency, the symbolic meaning of the 'Church' of Jacobites in Kerala, the socio-theological inquiry into the Christian fisherfolk of South Asia, and contextual theological studies in a maritime society in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The journal also includes notes from the field, such as a perspective on church music and faith formation from a Korean Presbyterian viewpoint. Additionally, there are book reviews on various topics related to Christianity in Asia. The subsequent volume, Volume 7, No. 2, continues the exploration of Asian Christianity with articles on Vietnamese Catholics and French personalism, decolonizing theology in the Philippines and Korea, the politics of morality in the Philippines, conversion to Hinduism and Christianity in Northeast India, and the multifunctional role of Tamil material Catholicism.
