The International Journal of Asian Christianity has released its second issue, which focuses on two main themes: the political engagement of Asian Christianity and the unique encounter between Asian cultural worlds and Christianity. The first set of articles explores the political history of Vietnam, the theological reflection on peacemaking in Southeast and East Asia, and the division among Christian leaders in the Philippines during President Rodrigo Duterte's time. The second set of articles examines the religious identity formation of the people of Northeast India and the materiality of Marian devotion in South India. The final article discusses the experiences of Hindu women participating in prayer groups in Kolkata and challenges the conventional definition of what it means to be a Christian.
