Abstract
- A series of fatty aeid polyethylene glycol esters were synthesized by esterification reaction of fatty acids with different carbon chain lengths and polyethylene glycol. The content of monoesters and diesters in the products was determined by measuring the acid value, hydroxyl value, and polyethylene glycol content. Its flow state was observed, and its wetting, emulsification, foam and decontamination performance were measured. The results showed that as the feed ratio of C12 acid to polyethylene glycol 400 increased, the polyethylene glycol content of the product decreased, the monoester content decreased, and the diester content increased. The freezing point of fatty acid polyethylene glycol 600 ester is higher than that of fatty acid PEG400 ester. Fatty acid carbon chains grow, wetting deteriorates, and foaming ability weakens. The em unification ability of fatty acid PEG600 ester is stronger than that of fatty acid PEG400 ester. C12 Acid PEG600 has the strongest emulsifying power of soybean oil and paraffin. The detergency of fatty acid PEG400 ester and fatty acid PEG600 ester on carbon black is equivalent, while C18 acid PEG600 ester has the strongest detergency on sebum. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
