Abstract

The authors of this article defend their study on urinary creatinine, in which they thoroughly documented the predictors in one study population. The large volume of data available in the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey in the U.S., was ideal for examining and documenting these predictors. They further commend that their study provides the most concrete data in the literature demonstrating creatinine variation in diverse populations and the factors contributing to this variation.
