Abstract

The article discusses the need to address the awareness gap and improve the quality of education regarding metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). The authors emphasize the proliferation of internet-based health information and the often inadequate quality and reliability of health videos related to MASLD. They suggest that health professionals and platforms should generate and disseminate reliable information, including awareness videos, educational material, and skills-oriented training. The article also highlights the low awareness of MASLD among the general population, healthcare providers, and non-liver specialists, and calls for increased awareness, education, and skills development investments. The authors stress the importance of incorporating patient voices and advocate for tailored patient education and digital health interventions to improve outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
