Abstract

This article discusses the association between interleukin-36 (IL-36) staining intensity and histopathologic findings in patients with psoriasis. IL-36 is a proinflammatory cytokine that plays a role in psoriasis, and recent studies have found that IL-36 staining can be used as a diagnostic biomarker for the condition. The study analyzed biopsies from patients with psoriasis and found that high IL-36 staining was associated with higher eosinophil counts, although this association was not statistically significant. The findings suggest that eosinophils may be present in psoriasis biopsies, which challenges the traditional understanding of the condition. However, further research with a larger sample size is needed to confirm these findings. [Extracted from the article]
