Communication is one of the great paradigms that has contributed to the development of humanity. Communication theory bases its functional logic as a transversal axis in each process and sub-process of daily life. Its influence on the advancement of information and communications technologies (ICT) is notable, as is the relationship between communication and science with demands from the scientific-technological policies of institutions, governments and science, technology and innovation entities that have insisted that society value the benefits of science. Given the necessary epistemological understanding of the term science communication and its relationship with technology and innovation, a bibliographic and documentary analysis is carried out as a viable systematization for the future construction of the field of science communication and innovation.
