Abstract

This article explores the field of nanomedicine and its potential applications in targeted drug delivery. It discusses the concept of "nanocarriers" that can transport drugs to specific organs and infected tissues, minimizing side effects. The article presents two experimental series that demonstrate the synthesis and loading of nanoparticles using polymers and various cargos. The experiments investigate the behavior of the nanoparticles in response to changes in pH, showing promising results for targeted drug delivery. The article highlights the educational opportunities and interdisciplinary connections that can be made through the teaching of nanomedicine in chemistry, biology, and physics classes.
