Abstract
- A case report in the journal Reactions Weekly describes a 36-year-old man with refractory epilepsy who experienced treatment failure while taking clobazam, carbamazepine, and valproate. The man had a long history of seizures, which included various symptoms such as automatisms and tonic posturing. Despite being treated with these anti-seizure medications, he continued to have breakthrough seizures. An MRI revealed focal cortical dysplasia in the right frontal lobe and hippocampal atrophy.
