Abstract
- Wind load analysis is a critical component of tall building design, ensuring structural integrity and safety. This study investigates the wind load analysis of a specific 14-story building, employing numerical methods to assess its impact on structural design and implications for stability. Adhering to the guidelines outlined in the Australian building code, the research utilizes STAAD Pro software for numerical analysis. Through a thorough examination of wind-induced stresses and deformations, the paper offers insights into the factors influencing structural integrity and suggests potential design modifications and mitigation strategies. The findings from this study suggests that it's not always needed to focus so much on wind when designing buildings. However, careful consideration needs to be given to design changes, especially as buildings get taller. It was also observed that sometimes, the problems caused by the shape of the building can be more important than worrying about the wind. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
