Abstract
- This article discusses a case of eosinophilic cholecystitis with polyserositis that mimicked malignancy in a 36-year-old man. The patient presented with symptoms of abdominal fullness and poor appetite, and laboratory findings showed elevated inflammatory markers and peripheral eosinophils. Imaging tests indicated peritonitis, pleural and pericardial effusions, and a thickened gallbladder wall. Despite initial suspicions of gallbladder malignancy, cholecystectomy revealed eosinophilic cholecystitis. The patient's condition improved after surgery, with reduced eosinophil count and resolution of symptoms. The article highlights the misleading clinical picture created by the multisystemic manifestations of eosinophilic cholecystitis. [Extracted from the article]
