Abstract

The study published in the Annals of Hematology focused on the effectiveness of adding hetrombopag to cyclosporine A for adult patients with transfusion-dependent non-severe aplastic anemia (TD-NSAA). The research found that the combination treatment resulted in a higher overall response rate at 3, 6, and 12 months compared to cyclosporine A alone, with manageable adverse events and a lower relapse rate. While there was no significant difference in complete response rates, further studies with larger cohorts and longer follow-up periods are needed to assess differences in complete response rates, clonal transformation, and relapse.
