Abstract
- Dr. Benjamin S. Pomeroy was a highly respected veterinarian who specialized in poultry production and the control of poultry diseases. He obtained his veterinary degree from Iowa State University and went on to earn a Master of Science and a PhD from Cornell University and the University of Minnesota, respectively. Dr. Pomeroy's research focused on poultry diseases, particularly salmonellosis, and he played a significant role in the development of disease control programs. He also contributed to the establishment of veterinary specialization in avian pathology and was involved in the founding of important professional organizations.
