Abstract
- A 25-year-old woman experienced a lack of efficacy during her treatment with ceftriaxone and moxifloxacin for a Salmonella typhimurium infection. She was admitted to the hospital with symptoms such as weakness, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and hypotension. Despite receiving treatment with moxifloxacin and later ceftriaxone, her condition did not improve. Additional treatments were administered, including ciprofloxacin, fluids, and symptomatic treatments, but her condition continued to worsen. Eventually, her treatment was switched to meropenem, which led to an improvement in her condition and she was discharged three weeks later. [Extracted from the article]
