Abstract
- In a retrospective cohort study, seven patients (4 men, 3 women) between the ages of 38 and 78 developed immediate hypersensitivity reactions after being exposed to various iodinated contrast media. The specific routes, dosages, durations of treatments, and outcomes were not provided. The patients had received premedication with histamine-H1-receptor-antagonists and glucocorticoids for prophylaxis of breakthrough reactions, but still experienced reactions related to the contrast media.
