Abstract

Two case reports describe women who developed varicella zoster virus (VZV) infections while being treated with upadacitinib for different conditions. The first patient, a 35-year-old woman with atopic dermatitis, experienced pain and skin changes in her right mandible and cheek. She was diagnosed with VZV infection and treated with antiviral medication. The second patient, an 80-year-old woman with presumed hypereosinophilic syndrome, developed ulcers on her forearm and back. She was also diagnosed with VZV infection and recovered after treatment. Both patients had different outcomes and were managed accordingly. [Extracted from the article]
