Abstract

This article describes two case reports of neonates who experienced a lack of efficacy during treatment with epinephrine, dobutamine, and immune-globulin. In the first case, a premature neonate developed symptoms such as fever, lethargy, and difficulty drinking, and eventually experienced cardiac arrest and died due to coxsackievirus B1 myocarditis. In the second case, another premature neonate developed abdominal distension and respiratory distress, and was diagnosed with CVB1 myocarditis. Despite receiving immune-globulin therapy, her condition worsened before eventually improving with unspecified interventions. [Extracted from the article]
