In this article, we present the life trajectory of Maria Benedita Deschamps Rodrigues, better known as Dunga Rodrigues, in the literary scene of Cuiabá-MT, with emphasis on the emergence and performance of the character as a writer and memoirist. Furthermore, during the new migration process to the Central-West, after the 1970s, we observed the writer's concern with "the foreign invasion" and from then on, her commitment to recording her memories, that is, the striking features of customs and local culture through the cuiabania perspective.
