Abstract

This article discusses a case of Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFD) that mimicked T-cell lymphoma after COVID-19 vaccination. The patient, a 45-year-old woman, experienced fever and lymphadenopathy after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. A core needle biopsy initially suggested T-cell lymphoma, but further examination and consultation led to a revised diagnosis of COVID-19 vaccine-associated KFD. The article highlights the challenges in differentiating KFD from T-cell lymphoma based on histology and immunophenotype, emphasizing the importance of clinical history and extent of involvement in making an accurate diagnosis.
