Abstract

This document is an introduction to a special issue of the Journal of Energy & Natural Resources Law focused on energy justice from the perspective of the Global South. The issue aims to explore the unique context of each nation in the Global South and examine how energy justice intersects with other energy concepts. The issue is organized into five parts, covering topics such as the role of energy transition, procedural justice in energy systems, remedies for energy injustice, and implementation strategies for energy justice. The articles provide diverse perspectives and examples from the Global South, offering insights into the implementation and interpretation of energy justice in specific jurisdictions.
