Abstract

Dr. James H. Johnson, also known as Jim, was a prominent figure in the field of clinical child psychology. He served as the 24th Chair of the Section on Child Clinical Psychology, which is now known as the Society for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (SCCAP) and Division 53 of the American Psychological Association (APA). Dr. Johnson played a significant role in advocating for clinical child psychology as a distinct subfield and was influential in developing specialized training and competencies.
