Abstract

This work is concerned with unreinforced masonry walls in-plane behaviour placed on frames made of reinforced concrete with a new diagonal strut. The seismic zone-by-seismic behaviour of the structure with and without a diagonal strut is the experimental parameter for two G+10 building models. For the floor strength and rigidity of RC structures with moment-bearing beams and unreinforced masonry throughout the height panels, the strength and rigidity of the URM buildings infill walls in the plan are taken into account. Checking for modifications is Based on the requirements of (IS 1893-2016 Part 1) Cl. No. 7.9, estimates of the in-plane stiffness as well as the strength of URM walls of infill must be evaluated. A comparative analysis is performed in term of Stiffness, Story drift, Time Period, Base Reaction, and Axial Force of the structure with and without Equivalent Diagonal Strut of URM by using ETABS 19 software.
